AVSL meets twice a year, in the spring for the mid-year meeting and in the fall for the annual meeting.
The AVSL Annual Meeting occurs each fall, typically for 2-3 days, and is usually timed alongside the annual American Academy of Optometry meeting. This AVSL meeting includes continuing education, presentations, planning updates, tours and events, and the traditional dinner out.
All members of AVSL are welcome to attend!
AVSL is a caucus of the Medical Library Association, and the AVSL Mid-Year Meeting occurs each spring as part of the MLA Annual Meeting. Therefore, the AVSL meeting will be in the MLA Annual Meeting schedule, with the time and location announced. This is a shorter meeting, usually 1-3 hours, with an evening dinner event. Those who are members of both AVSL and MLA are welcome to attend.
